Ammo Box Size Guide: Find the Right BoxLoc or Snaplock Box for Your Caliber

Loose ammo in a cardboard box gets crushed, spilled and mixed up. A latching storage case with a fitted tray keeps rounds organized, protected and easy to count at the range.

Our ammo boxes are built on two modular systems: BoxLoc by Layer51 and Snaplock by MakeItSlow. Both use snap latches, a rear sliding hinge and a removable tray, and boxes of the same system stack and line up together. Each box is printed to order in San Diego with your choice of box, text and tray colors. Boxes are sold empty; no ammunition is included or sold.

Choosing a size

• Pocket and Mini boxes hold 10 to 49 rounds. Good for a range bag, a hunting pack or a glovebox.
• Compact and Small boxes hold a standard 50-round box worth, or more for rimfire.
• Standard and Large boxes hold 50 to 316 rounds depending on caliber, for bulk storage on the shelf.
